A Group Of Vesuvio's Mastini Past & Current

The kennel name Vesuvio was formed back in 1979.  We have been dog breeders for over 29 years
and in 1992 we decided to devote our time to the Neapolitan Mastiff.  We are just a small select
kennel of Neapolitans Mastiffs and do not have puppies available all year round  as we try to only
breed for type temperament and soundness.

We imported our first few Neapolitan Mastiffs from England along with a shipment of frozen semen
that we had sent over from Italy with the help of our new friend Mr. Mario Zacchi.

Soon after we imported another three Neapolitans from Italy, Bricante, Regina and Olga from the
Del Nolano Kennel in Naples.  In 2003 we imported another female to add to our kennels Corinzia
of Dalnarck Neapolitan Mastiffs.  The Neapolitan Mastiffs that we own today are from some of
the best bloodlines in the world listing many champions within their pedigrees.
 
We have also supplied quality dogs to other breeders to use as their foundation breeding stock world wide and our Neapolitan Mastiffs were first to be featured on the poplar television program

"Burkes Backyard".

At Vesuvio we breed from dogs that are sound and of type because in today's world, soundness is just
